About Amy

Having graduated with a BA (Hons) and spent the best part of 10 years working in the city, I understand what it's like to live a demanding and stressful lifestyle and the effects this can have on health, wellbeing and vitality.

My journey:

in 2012, I experienced chronic, debilitating headaches. With no explanation from those I saw within the medical profession and feeling frustrated and desperate, I consulted a nutritionist.

The first consultation felt like a weight had been lifted as she explained the connection between the headaches I was experiencing, my gut health and diet.

I was soon on the way to restoring my health just by changing what I ate.

Despite always being passionate about food and interested in nutrition, this was a bit of a lightbulb moment for me. 'Getting back to normal' was no easy task and restoring optimal health and the vitality I used to feel took some time.

This is why I'm passionate about maintaining good health as well as reinstating it. Having experienced just how much quality of life can suffer due to even the most mild and niggling health complaints and how much of a relief it felt to find a way back to health,

I feel I'm in a position to understand others with similar experiences and help them on their journey too.

My Approach:

We are all individuals, biochemically and genetically unique, and so we all require a personalised approach to maintain and restore health and wellbeing. I take a full medical history to identify the triggers and root cause of illness and work with clients to devise a comprehensive lifestyle and nutrition plan to support my clients back to optimal health and wellbeing.

Having completed a three-year post graduate diploma course at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, I have been a practicing nutritional therapist since 2017 and am registered with the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) and BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy). You can look me up in their member directories by clicking on the links above.

Both organisations require the very highest standards in training and professional development from their members, which means I’m constantly updating my knowledge to ensure that I’m able to give the very best advice to my clients.

Finally, these specific professional accreditations also mean that I am eligible for comprehensive insurance via the specialist company, Balens Ltd, for added peace of mind.
